These units are perfect for monitoring the activity of personal vehicles, company cars and fleet vehicles.\nThe Global Positioning System (GPS) is a worldwide radio-navigation system formed of 24 orbiting satellites and their ground stations. Launched and maintained by the U.S. Department of Defense, these satellites send a stream of signals to the earth's surface enabling a GPS receiver to calculate accurate positions within about 10 feet or less.

Pros Small, lightweight, functions well

Lots of pros and cons to this unit-- I got mine for $50 on ubid, so I didn't pay much for it at all.

CONS:I've discovered that this thing EATS batteries! It is constantly accessing or trying to find satellites, which consumes the batteries... you can watch the battery meter slowly going... Read full review »

Pros Inexpensive for a GPS that accepts detailed maps.
Cons Poor performance, map software use difficult, eats batteries, port covers not secure
Recommended it? No

After looking for an entry-level GPS unit, this one seemed too good to be true. On sale with a full US street map CD set for $140!
